The Atrium Dermatology® Library - provided as a service to our patients

The world of medicine is constantly changing.  New medications and surgical techniques are regularly noted in the media, and locally ads appear in the newspapers, on the radio and on television promoting prescription drugs and radical look-good-quick surgical procedures.

Like you, at Atrium Dermatology® we follow these stories.  But to really keep abreast of developments that affect our patients, we check out the medical literature; we look for the real story behind the hype.  We discuss innovative therapies and medications with their developers and other doctors to weed out the fanciful from the practical.  When we prescribe, we choose medications based on efficacy, safety and appropriateness to the needs of each individual patient. We choose a medication or treatment because we feel that it is the best one for you. For your personal needs, as an individual.  We recommend a surgical procedure because we know it is the right one.  For you. Personally.

Recognizing that, like most of the patients we see every day, you probably don’t have the time to research medical issues, and that you may be simply curious about your own medical condition, or about something you heard or read about, we have arranged to have an exhaustive medical library available to our patients and their friends.

This library is designed to provide you with an easy, effective way to access information that you may find useful;  -information that may help you better manage your own health; help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options.  Or simply to learn more about a medical condition that interests you.

Of course, Dr. Gumpertz is always available to answer your questions personally when you come to our office.  But there’s always the occasional issue you may want to look up.  So, go ahead. Check out our extensive medical library….!
